How fan pools, sales, and revenue splits work.

1. What is a fan pool?

Each song can have a fan pool. Fans contribute money to the pool to support a song. When the song sells, the fan pool receives a share of each sale.

2. Revenue split (core rule)

Every sale is split into three buckets:

  • 45% to the fan pool
  • 45% to the artist + collaborators
  • 10% to the platform

The artist/collaborator share can be subdivided among multiple creator wallets based on the splits configured for the song.

3. How fan earnings are calculated

Fan pool earnings are distributed to fans proportionallyto how much each fan contributed to the pool.

Example
If the fan pool receives $45 from a $100 sale, and you contributed 10% of the total pool contributions, you earn 10% of the fan pool share for that sale (i.e., $4.50).

4. Streaming vs downloads

Song pages can offer streaming and/or downloads depending on how the song is configured and what a buyer purchases. Access may be mediated by third-party services and depends on your device and network.

5. Important notes

  • Blockchain transactions are irreversible and may incur network fees (gas).
  • Payout timing can depend on network confirmation times and smart contract behavior.
  • Percentages shown here describe the platform’s intended split model; refer to the on-chain configuration for a specific song.
